Nice Visit

Posted on

I had a cool day! My Son is getting so big! We had fun today we played Mech Worrior-4, Feeding Frenzy and chess on my laptop. He, as always, wanted to eat hotdogs for lunch. We ate 5 between the two of us and an apple each for a snack. It was pretty nice out today, about 74 hrer in DE, so we went out to shoot some hoops. He can make 80% of all shots attempted.

He told me he read a letter his school sent home. It said he passed to the 1st grade June 6th. He thought he started 1st grade June 6th and I had to explain that he had the summer off then would start 1st grade in late August. He was happy to hear it. This year was hard for him because he said the other kids would tease him a bit. He wouldn’t say exactly what about though. He loves going to school still so I hope next yaer will be better. I don’t want to brag too much, but he is so smart. He is only 6 & can read at a third/forth grade level, is good w/ adding and subtracting, and kinda understands how to multiply & divide. It might be why he get teased a little in school.

Now I have to wait another month, unless i can arrange transprotation, because my bro-inlaw has to drive to Indiana for 3-4 days to visit Mancester Collage. My neice will starting there in the fall. She has to take some tests and the they are all going to be away on June 11th, the weekend of my next visitation. I atleast have 2 week to make other arrangements. I might try to get some friends and take him fishing again. He loved it the last time we went, he caught five fish. My friends daughter went w/ us and caught 3. She is 1 year younger than my Son & their birthdays are on the same day.

Well, I have to eat now. ‘Til next time…tg/logansdaddy

  1. Hey, great to hear that you had a nice visit with your son. I am happy that everything went great and there wasn’t any problems. He sounds like he is going to be a smart kid. My daughter was like that too until she hit the teenage stage. I do keep everyone in prayer and have added you to my prayers that you would get more visits with your son.

  2. Hi there…I’m David, "BootJockey"…you stopped by my blog site the other day, after my dad passed away, and left a comment. I just wanted to thank you very much for stopping by and leaving your comment. I truly appreciated it. It was so nice to have someone take the time to leave such a nice note. Thank-you again. You are welcome to come back and visit anytime. – David

  3. Hey, I am glad that you got to see your son. It must be nice to have weather in the 70s! It has been in the high 90s here everyday, uhhh! It is not even June yet. Anyway, I hope you dont have to wait to long to be able to see you Logan again soon. I feel for you both if you have to be apart for a month. I would give you a ride if I lived closer :(. I understand how hard it must be for a parent to be forced to stay away from their own child. I also understand how much the court system catiers to mothers, but that is a whole other story completly, lol. I hope to hear from you soon.
